Creating Creatine Supplements - The mess behind the magic

Supplement brands exist to simplify the supplement consumption process for end customers. 

Suppliers in this industry (co-manufacturers, raw material suppliers, labels, etc.) are very messy to work with. Communication is hard and requires lots of follow up. Their websites are not easy to find or to navigate. Transparency and supply chain traceability is almost non-existent. Only because it is so complex. 

As a supplement company, it's tempting to offer different formats, different sizes, and many variations of supplements. But with each product, variation, or form factor, the complexities multiply. 

We want to be something different. We aim to remove the noise and only give you what you need. 

That's why we chose to do single-ingredient supplements. That's why we chose to start with one product. That's why our labels are clean and minimal. 

It's a philosophy about your wellness. We believe that complexity is the enemy of execution. And for your wellness to be prioritized and acted on, it must be easy for you to act on it. 

We curate, filter, and make tradeoffs based on price, quality, and simplicity to bring you one, premium, transparent single-ingredient supplement at a time.

For example, we found a "brand-name" magnesium bisglycinate raw material that was 400% more expensive than others...but who wouldn't allow us to batch-test their raw materials. Meaning that they'd send us a sample of one batch to test, but the magnesium that you would consume would be from another batch entirely. They literally said "just trust us". Instead we found a better priced raw material that gives us the flexibility to third party test. 

If you can count on us for anything, it is simplicity, and transparency. 

As we explore a creatine monohydrate supplement, the raw material for testing is sent to us late, or sometimes not at all. We can't move forward with selecting a raw material supplier until we've tested it for purity & identity ourselves. These types of things are unacceptable to our customers - so we make plans and contingency plans to make sure that that doesn't happen to you. 

We exist to share these stories with you, so you know what your brand is doing behind the scenes to get you the best, most effective supplements. We also exist to simplify this process for you, so that you can focus on your wellness, then get on with the rest of your day. While we find these complexities frustrating to deal with, it brings us great joy to make your lives easier and more filled with living - and less time worrying about supplements.
